Geology Library Policies
Who can borrow
Students, faculty, staff, and unaffiliated borrowers may check out materials from the Geology Library provided they have either a library card distributed by the University or an active Grand Forks Public Library card. Check out slips are provided for unbarcoded maps. Please enter your name, address, telephone, current date, and your library card number. Identify the map by the title, scale, and/or report number.

Returning Books
In the event that the Library is closed during normal hours, return books to the Geology Office or the Chester Fritz Library.
Recalls
When you check out a book, you are guaranteed the item for 2 weeks. After that, the book may be recalled. When you are notified of the recall, you have 4 days to return the book or you may be charged a fine of $10.00 per item.
Renewals and Overdue Fees
You can renew most materials online. Items that have not been returned or renewed by the due date may be subject to overdue fees.
uPrint Services
